Zihan Hafiz Schilder is a registered Architect and Lighting Designer with a combined background in architecture, industrial design, and lighting design. Zihan graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a minor in Industrial Design. Zihan strives to bring efficiency and accuracy to every project through her expertise in lighting design accompanied by her ability to perform lighting calculations and simulations for large-scale projects. She is also passionate about creating sustainable architecture that ensures high efficiency, functionality and quality for the client and the communities that the building serves.

Zihan grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh prior to attending Virginia Tech which has given her a unique perspective on the built environment in different cultural and socio-economic conditions. She has experienced the vernacular designs inherent in developing countries and has designed offices for top technology firms in the US. These opportunities have influenced her understanding of materiality, efficiency, and cultural influence on design.

She has been honored to work with leading figures and firms in the Architecture and Lighting Design fields on high-profile projects globally. She is always excited when projects allow her to meet new people with a passion for unique design rooted in analysis for ensuring high efficiency, accuracy and quality.
